Sorry if this is a repost

From YouTube post: Douchebag of the week goes to this guy! What a fucking asshat. Well, I guess it’s time to break out the Mustang Memes again.

We were doing a live feed at Coffee and Cars when a Mustang tried attacking a crowd of people. Luckily no one was hurt but 2 small children where knocked by the crowd running to get out of the way.

The video quality isn’t that great because it’s from a Facebook live feed.

Here I thought maybe IRS would prevent some of this... Nope.

nope. the rear suspension design doesn’t matter; if you hit the gas in any high-powered RWD car when the car isn’t pointed straight (and you’ve turned off the ESC) it’ll break loose. This idiot stomped on it as he was still in the turn.

Indeed, but a SRA is much less forgiving and far more prone to oversteer than IRS.

a solid axle is more prone to wheel (axle) hop. so you could make the case that an SRA is more likely to let the tires break loose. but no matter what’s back there, once the tires break loose in a turn it’s all over.

Letting the tail slide out is all in good fun (albeit NOT in a crowded area/car meet), but most of these idiots take it too far and stay in it until the car is completely out of control. Then, once it’s in a really really good high-speed skid, they lay on the brakes to make matters even worse.

IRS vs. SRA isn’t really any sort of issue in this. It’s the weirdo in flip flops without any time behind the wheel of this car, while performance driving it in flip flops with a solid wall of people on the street. Not even the right car when pretending to be Walter Rohrl. He didn’t know it’s tendencies. He didn’t care. One second of, “I’m awesome!” became a bunch of kids with surprisingly accurate name calling.

I wouldn’t call it a repost. There was an article on Jalopnik last week covering the event from multiple angles, but this is a new one.

Good catch, Urambo! Hell, I even starred Alanis’ post.

I guess I really did have a bad day today. Will fix that later this evening with vodka.

...and I hope for blackjack and hookers, too!

I’m glad you posted this; there’s a lot more to see in this footage.

The crowd seems a little too enthused about the incident, but damn if that bonehead didn’t deserve all that mocking. Good video quality, too; I can see the damage much better.

To bad we still can’t get a good view of the tattooed guy holding the (badge?), or hear what he’s saying.

from this angle you can really see how close he came to hitting that car. failed driving RIGHT out the gate

also, not a lot of tread on those tyres
